How to cook Creamer Potatoes: Part III

How to cook Creamer Potatoes: Part III

This week marks the final installment in a blog series devoted to cooking Creamer Potatoes from The Little Potato Company. In previous posts, we gave step-by-step instructions for boiling and roasting/grilling your Creamers, and this week, it’s all about the microwave.

Microwaves have revolutionized the way we cook today. Every restaurant kitchen has them, and it’s extremely rare to find a private kitchen without one. Not every food turns out well with this time-saving appliance, but as luck would have it, Creamer Potatoes cook beautifully in the microwave. And incredibly quickly too! Just follow this easy method.

How to microwave

1. Place Creamer Potatoes in a microwave-safe bowl.
2. Add water until they are just covered.
3. Microwave on high for five minutes or until tender.
4. Drain.

Toppings

Simple, right? When the Creamers are done, you can add your favourite seasonings, herbs and toppings to create endless variations. Alternatively, you can add herbs and butter or oil before cooking to create a roasted potato effect.

Convenient kits

For extra ease, The Little Potato Company has developed Microwave Ready kits. In them, we’ve packed farm-fresh, triple-washed Creamer Potatoes in a steam tray. Pop this in the microwave for a few minutes, and you’re laughing all the way to the dinner table. Their convenience can’t be beat, making Microwave Ready kits one of our most popular products. Plus, they come in three great flavours to keep your taste buds guessing: Garlic Parsley, Savoury Herb and Zesty Italian.
